Welcome

Welcome bloggers,

I would like to welcome everyone. On this site, we are all nurses (RN's, LPN's, MT's, PCA's and CNA's). Here is where I would like to vent as well as give every other nurse a chance to vent their days frustrations, comments, words of advice, or prayer.

It is hard caring for people you don't know, and at times it can be very rewarding as well. Nursing is hard work. In the long and short of it all we as nurses need a place where we can let our hair down and just say it from the heart.

Anyway, I'm new to this whole blogging thing. I like meeting and talking with people, especially nurses because we have so much in common. So here it is. I'd like to hear from you, let's have some fun and blog until your hearts content.

Experienced Nurse, Graduate RN

I have been an LPN for 12 years and have recently decided to go to school to get my ADN, RN. I received it about 2 years ago and boy was it hard. Anyway, I'm finally done. I've been a med-surg nurse for the past 12 years and want to try something different. I thought nursing was this vast diversified field that afforded you all these choices.  So here is the question: How am I suppose to gain experience and work in other specialties if the hiring managers won't give me a chance? They ask for the experience and the knowledge yet they only want to pay you a graduate nurse salary.  Is there some other approach?
